Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed October 15, 2022 (edited October 16, 2022)Sweet and medium rich, tastes like above average Speyside. Apple and grape fruit flavors dominate, good body for balance. If you like sweet Speyside it's a good choice. -
Glen Fohdry Darach Carribbean Oak Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed September 29, 2022Super strong barley aroma, sweet and malty. Flavor matches the aroma well. Spicy and strong, rich and sweet underneath. Excellent blend. Richness carries the blend of sweet and spice into a nice long tail. Fantastic. -
Sweet malty aroma, perfectly blended. Enjoyable. Initial hit is light and thin, but then all the flavor rushes in on the tail. Bright sparkling spice riding a good alcohol burn. Cane sugar sweetness riding a deep wood flavor before the spice kicks in. After the tail is a lingering sharp sweetness, almost tequila like but way more enjoyable. Much longer and better tail than expected from the medium body. Interesting journey.House Spirits Distillery

Galloping Goose Amontillado Cask
Canadian — Everett, WA, USA
Reviewed September 1, 2022 (edited October 18, 2022)Strong sherry aroma sweetness on the nose. Flavor is complex and interesting, caramel and sherry, richer than the other two. Same spice as the other two, but the complexity is best here. Spice tail is a little much, but not unpleasant. Great blend, one of the better Canadians I've had.James Bay Distillers Ltd -
Green Spot Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed August 10, 2022 (edited February 18, 2023)Musty rich smell. Complex and aged. Smells fantastic. Flavor is mellow at first, then develops into a dark, aged blend of wood and subtle sweetness. Tastes metaphorically like an old mahogany desk. My favorite Irish whiskey, which says something, because I don't typically like those.
