Reviewed February 28, 2022 (edited May 30, 2022)Dark malty. Toffee caramel aroma with some oak. Deep almost musty flavor, slightly complex mixed with oak. Floral earthy tones, light sweetness. Medium to heavy richness, nice chocolatey tail. Lovely. -
Port Askaig 110 Proof
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 28, 2022 (edited July 13, 2022)Damp earth, floral, light peat aroma. Super weird and smokey. Peat flavor is way stronger on the tongue, with a combination of spice and proof burn underneath. The three go together wonderfully. Rich, long tail to carry the spice. Fiery and powerful. Fantastic. -
Super smokey peaty aroma, but with a sweetness that reminds me of barbeque. Peat dominates the flavor, but it's very rich which carries it well. Long wonderful tail, sweetness undertones to the huge peat kick. Love this. Paired with something lightly spicy (in my case cinnamon tarragon beets) took this all the way up to five stars. Maybe a touch of spice was all I was missing. The Barrel Thief

Reviewed January 2, 2022 (edited December 31, 2022)Deep bold oak flavors, super strong. Dark, almost musty. Rich fiery flavor that melts into deep spice and wood. Fantastic. Still a touch of that mustiness on the tail but its enjoyable, aged.House Spirits Distillery
