High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Smoky to start, then the spice tingles in after leading into the tail. Little sweetness mixed in after too. Love how it develops. The smoke isn't like the kind I find in most scotches. Murica smokeThe Westy Sports & Spirits -
Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon (2014 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Stonefruit is apparently what that flavor is under the vanilla. Super sweet and fruity, I love it. It lingers on the tail for a long time. Vaniiiiilllaaaaa. Burn can be a little much though. The Westy Sports & Spirits -
Angel's Envy Cask Strength Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels (2018 Edition)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Smells like roses, bright red color, super cool looking. Kind of syrupy when I first sip it, and those sweet floral notes dominate. Some spice afterwards, but it's a deep spice. Roses, not a flavor I see often. Syrupy and rich, tastes thickThe Westy Sports & Spirits -
Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection 13 Year Old-Fashioned Sour Mash Bourbon (125 Entry Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Cherries on the nose, but there's a deeper note there that's a little interesting. Dark mellow taste at first, then switched from a dark fruit to a medicinal taste that lingers into the tail. Not even sure what all I'm tasting, but its certainly unique. The Westy Sports & Spirits -
Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Nuts on the nose, lots of them. The tail spread this taste of peanuts all over my tongue. Longers for quite a long savory nutty finish. Not stellar pretty one dimensional, but interesting. The Westy Sports & Spirits -
Bunnahabhain 12 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Smoke on the nose and on the palate, but remarkably balanced. I could drink this every day. Nothing too aggressive or standing out but that's what makes it good. A little thin, hint of salt, really enjoyable. The Whisky Bar -
Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 1
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)Super high proof, I get some nutty flavors from it, including in the tail. There's a sweetness on the nose. Maybe some wood underneath. The alcohol makes it hard to tell. The Whisky Bar -
Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2019 (edited January 11, 2019)A little strong, too much alcohol. Sweetness comes after, but still a little agressive. There's a deep wood there that I enjoy as well. But it needs water. Water makes those two flavors very balanced, although the heat is still there. The Whisky Bar
