Tastes

Great scotch for someone that doesnt drink whiskey, very approachable and easy. Good balance of grain flavor and fruitiness. It was my first scotch, and I like how easy it is, but its a little boring overall.

Much lighter than I expected from a Laphroig, then a surge of flavor coming into the tail. Very stark difference. Lighter smokiness on the nose, much calmer than the 10 year. Mostly mild sweet wood, and the smoke follows in on the tail. I honestly don't care much for it, there's not enough there. Interesting flavor change, but all falls flat.

Peat and grass on the nose, very herbal. The flavor is peaty without being overwhelming, has that aged scotch smoothness. Light, but most of the kick comes in the tail. Light wood flavors as well, tail is long and tingly. I like how long it lasts.

Oily and rich , very sweet on the nose, smells like maple syrup. On the tongue is sweet and woody, very well balanced, and the tail is a pleasant sweetness that the tail let's linger a long time. Taste mostly oak. Very pleasant.

This has some bite to it which I like. Some spiciness and smokiness on the tail that's lovely. Tastes aged and oily, which is nice. Would love if it were heavier.

Thin, balanced, boring.

Light, sweet, smoke follows on the tail. Medium richness, has nice mouth feel. Maybe a little salty too. Good, but not strong enough for me.

Caramel and spice on the tongue, a strong sweet fire that's just wonderful. Longer tail that tingles for a while that definitely has some cinnamon in it. All around excellent bourbon.

The version I'm trying is Wild Turkey branded and 101 proof, maybe foreign export only? Deep wood that reminds me of knob Creek but stronger. Medicinal undertones. Sweetness on top. Well balanced but very aggressive.

Much smoother than it's cousin, very sweet. Wish there was more body but there's a ton of flavor. I'd prefer the 107, but this certainly has wonderful flavor.
