Michter's US*1 American Whiskey
Other Whiskey — USA
Reviewed February 5, 2022 (edited August 25, 2022)I like everything about this. The nose, taste, and finish. Not one is overwhelming, but nothing is spectacular. For me it's well rounded and pleasant to drink. Butterscotch and vanilla sit on the palate, but not too long. I will definitely keep this supplied in my collection. -
Had many bourbons before trying this. Always skipped over it on the shelf due to my belief that it would be the typical burning bourbon with not much to it. Finally picked up a bottle and was pleasantly surprised. Offered far more than I was expecting. Good vanilla on the nose. Hit with a lot of rye spice on the taste and the finish was short lived with fading rye spice, sweetness, oak, and vanilla. I will not seek it out to drink, but will keep it in my collection to sip every now and then. Once it's gone I will probably not replace it.
