Tastes

The nose is complex with each sniff producing different flavors. Sweet, peat, sherry and smoke all are present in the initial nose. The pallet is such an easy drink that every sip is awesome. More floral and sweet flavors develop in the pallet and the finish lasts forever. One of my favorite whiskeys, I just wish it was easier to find in NC!

Jim Beam did a great job in producing an excellent budget single barrel bourbon. The nose is warm caramel and vanilla. The flavor pallet brings in more vanilla but also introduces some citrus fruity notes. This works great neat or in an old fashioned.

This has a pretty quick hit of flavor. Lots of wood and leather. The finish is short but not so much that you forget about the initial flavor.

One of my favorite bourbons to keep at the house to introduce new whiskey drinkers too. Very approachable flavors that start off spicy but end with notes of fresh baked bread.

Very Light and delicate flavors that mix well. Floral and herbal notes are the most prevalent flavors.

Flavor profile favors oak notes as the name intends.

Spicy with floral notes and a smoth mouth feel. Great scotch for a bourbon lover.

What you would expect from a 100% rye, spicy and full. The nose conceals the 100 proof well and the finish lasts for days.

Very nutty nose and pallet, smooth and sweet.

Suprising light nose and pallet for a 115 proof bourbon. The nose is has citrus and nutmeg. Pallet has oak honey. Finish is short but plesent.
