Lemongrass, iodine, lime zest, and faint pine on the nose, along with a fair bit of ethanol. Light, thin mouthfeel. Palate is quite neutral for a whisky, with some more iodine and pine, and a bit of lemon – but overall lacking any intensity of flavour. Finishes short, with a bit of heat. 2.00/5.00 – Bad (neat)

Notes of coffee, vanilla, chocolate brownie, and wet potting soil on the nose. Rich, unctuous mouthfeel. Palate is very sweet, showing maple syrup along with more coffee, brownie, and vanilla notes. Sweetness persists through the finish, which is medium-length. Somewhat oversweet and out of balance on its own – but offers plenty of uses for mixing. 2.50/5.00 – Acceptable (neat)
