Distinct notes of vanilla, oak, and baking spice on the nose, with a milder hint of toasted coconut. Light, fairly round mouthfeel. More oak, vanilla, and toasted coconut on the palate, plus lots of pepper which persists throughout the finish. Finish is on the shorter end, but is also noticeably smooth. Nothing unique to be found here, but quintessentially easy-drinking. 2.50/5.00 – Acceptable (neat)

Bols Blue Curaçao
Triple Sec/Curaçao — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 6, 2023 (edited September 6, 2024)Bright candied orange and marmalade on the nose, with a hint of pith, and ethanol. Rich mouthfeel. On the palate, more sweet orange and marmalade, with a short finish. It'll add some very linear orange sweetness (and a lot of colour) to your cocktails – but that's all this is good for. If you're looking for depth, look elsewhere. 2.00/5.00 – Bad (neat) -
Tanqueray Rangpur Gin

Flor De Caña Centenario 12 Rum
Aged Rum — Nicaragua
Reviewed May 28, 2023 (edited September 6, 2024)Aromas of vanilla, dark chocolate, caramel, hazelnut, and toasted coconut. Fairly rich mouthfeel. On the palate, notes of cinnamon, more vanilla and toasted coconut, charred oak, and subtle pineapple. Some detectable heat on the nose, but little to none on the finish – which is on the longer side, though dominated by the charred oak. 3.25/5.00 – Quite Good (neat) -
Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
Triple Sec/Curaçao — Cognac, France
Reviewed May 26, 2023 (edited September 6, 2024)Ripe aromas of tangerine and marmalade up front; plus walnut, baking spice, and grape jelly. Very rich, round mouthfeel. The palate shows more tangerine, marmalade, walnut, and grape jelly – is sweet without approaching oversweetness – and finishes medium-long with a mild and pleasant vegetal bitterness. A surprisingly competent sipper in its own right, and downright perfect in a cocktail. 3.50/5.00 – Impressive (neat)
