Reviewed November 10, 2021 (edited December 29, 2021)Nose: stewed fruits, winter spice, tree bark, heather, citrus peel, cardboard. Pallet: sherry, oak, ginger, cocoa, tannins, pepper, cream Finish: spice, rich Pete, cocoa, chilli, sweet. -
Nose: Raisins, ethenol, grapes, port or fortified wine, ginger, Licorice, citrus peel, notes of bitter chocolate and oak. Pallet: raisins, licorice, black treacle, nuts. Bitter chocolate and fruits. Acrid tannins and bitter Perfume notes. Finnish: bitter fruit, burnt oranges, soured raisins. Short It’s nice. But feels a little flat. Needs to be higher abv, maybe 46% or ideally 50% to really drive it home.45.0 GBP per Bottle

Reviewed October 16, 2021So much peat… Ok, so let’s get this straight. This is basically an Edradour, but better, heavy peat, and a dark red wine cask. So: Nose: peat, smoke, red wine, tannins, oak, fruits. Sugar. Pallet: drying, oaky smoke. Pepper, red wine tannins, stewed stone fruits. Spicy wood. Finish: peppery, sugar and a little dry.
