Nope. How this is rated above lagavulin 16 is a complete mystery. Price point? Not by taste, that is for sure. Harsh peat monster- reminds me of formaldehyde in cadaver lab. 85 tops. Like peat? Do yourself a favor and save up for the lagavulin.

Got a shot of this at my favorite Italian eatery. Sweet and smooth. Wow sweet. Little to no bite. It’s Auchentoshan so more compared to Irish triple distilled. Complexity lower but still very nice.

How this is rated so low is a mystery. Smooth peat with even combined palate across spectrum. Man this is good. And extinct. At 89 I wonder but where else is there a smooth medium peat scotch- I need to drink more scotch to find out.

Smooth. Full and rich with an oily grace. Peaty bounty with a low floral sweetness. At 22 a shot and 144 a bottle this is rare for me.

Looking forward to is so much... and good it was, but more expensive than red breast here and not as good. Less complexity, less layering. My palate is not refined, but it was saddened.
