Jim Beam Pre-Prohibition Style Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 7, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)Bold nose heavy on the caramel. The first thing to hit the pallet is spicy toasted grain the finish is crisp. I think I'll have another dram or three. -
I'm still up in the air on this one. It's a smooth easy drinking whiskey but the flavor profile is extremely broad a bit confusing. I got chocolate and toasted grains up front the finish lingered a bit and morphed into a little bit fish oil. I'll chill it or try it on the rocks and write another review.
