Loads of sweet sherry on the nose, with a rich smokey malt base. Bright, engaging and enticing. On the palate, the sweetness continues with a lovely, enveloping blanket of sherry character. The whiskey has beautifully melded with the casks and hits all of the right marks. The body, the sustained finish, and most of all, the flavors all add up to a rousing success. This is the epitome of a sipping whisky. Highly recommended.

Perhaps the ultimate rum expression. On the nose, there is a perfume of self assured wood cask supporting a lively and rich rum base. Notes of saddle leather, young tobacco, gingerbread and toasted pecans add to the allure. Upon tasting, the flavor profile presents with a solid and darkly tonal oak greeting. A lot of tannins craft a dry, and somewhat tea like character on the tongue. The body is tight, well balanced, and fades on an even keel. The finish is extra long, with an almost velvety caramel-like finality. Wheteher you are a rum aficionado or a Hemingway fan, this rum is for you.

Juniper right off the bat upon nosing. Some citrus adds an overall brightness to the aroma. The taste has more of the citrus character, while piney briskness plays a secondary role. Some sweetness in the gin as well, keeping this from the "London Dry" category. A reasonable gin if used in fruit forward cocktails.

Cierto Tequila Private Collection Extra Añejo
Tequila Extra Añejo — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed August 9, 2023 (edited August 10, 2023)Very dark aroma of tequila soaked woodstave, offset with brighter high notes of agave. Upon tasting, there is a burst of oak forward characteristics: caramel, char, toffee, light roasted coffee bean, and a hint of cocoa. The body is medium, with a somewhat sharper entry than the añejo. Finish goes on and on, with a very wood forward, yet sweet fade. A contemplative tequila that pushes the boundaries of aging. -
Cierto Tequila Private Collection Añejo
Tequila Añejo — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed August 9, 2023 (edited August 10, 2023)Deep oak-driven nose with a solid backbone of agave. On the palate, the agave shines with a sweet vegetal flavor and mellow caramel character from the barrel. A smooth entry, round mouthfeel and extra long finish, ending with a somewhat tannic dryness. A flavorful sipper that keeps the essence of Blue Weber in the forefront.
