Compared to a similarly priced sourced wheater, this falls well short of Penelope wheated. This bouron is sweet and smooth, but boring and too sweet for me. Buy again? No

Main notes are citrus, a little chocolate, and the Barton funk. Prefer single barrel and sweet wheat to the BiB. Would not buy again.

Dont really understand the hype of this being one of the best bargains in bourbon. Won’t buy again.

Great mix of spicy notes and deep red fruit notes. A little bit of that beam nuttiness at the finish. Nice long finish. Glad I finally got to try it. Soft vanilla. Tried at crush pad in downtown Charlottesville

Nose right off the bat drew me in. Honey. Tasting it, I wasn’t blown away at first, but it grew on me. Loved the smoked honey notes. Really enjoyed it.

The nose is soft, vanilla-covered cherries. A little orange peel in there too. Palate continues the flavors but with a spicy clove kick and more citrus. Rate this one well above Rare Breed.

I’m pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy this high rye bourbon. Equally surprised by the caramel notes, which is the dominant flavor. Nice smokiness too. Intrigued to try a single barrel at some point. Smoky and sweet.

I really wanted to like it. Trying to find a budget Beam bourbon to get those nutty notes. It’s faint here but overpowered by the cinnamon. Won’t be my go-to budget (that remains Old Forester 100 and Bowman Brothers SB).

I’ll take OF100 over this. Has some aspects of OF that I enjoy but also missing some things. Astringent oak notes that I don’t get in OF100. Glad I tried it but won’t be getting again. Molasses, butterscotch, brown sugar, maple. No banana, unfortunately.
