    Very light in color. Light vanilla and minimal brine on the nose. The taste is briny, salty and smoky. More smoky and peaty than Ardbeg and Laphroaig and even the 07.3 Octomore

    Smoky and briny on the nose. Not as briny as other Islays. Less peaty then Laphroaig and Ardbeg. Smooth texture. A good Scotch for a warm day.

    Nice caramel color. Fruity nose with some almond. On the palate, the fruit and almond and some honey. Incredibly smooth, much smoother than the XO. Heavenly nectar!

    Neat, this whiskey has significant barrel char notes and sweetish fruit notes. In cocktails, the barrel char is minimized while the fruit notes shine through. If only drinking it neat 2/5 stars, but in cocktails, 3.75/5.

    Reminds me of smoked ribs and grilled chicken with a little pepper. The higher ABV allows the full effect of the phenols in this whisky. Tastes less peaty than Ardbeg but more than Laphroaig. Great Islay if you can find it.

    A bit of sweetness on the palate followed by drying stickiness. Very astringent. Great in vodka cocktails b/c flavor is quite neutral.

    Full-bodied and smoky with a touch of a vanilla/homey sweetness initially on the palate. The finish is long and smoky, just as I like them. Not as peaty to me as other Islay whiskies, but great nonetheless.
