I detect a higher corn mash compared to the standard Rendezvous? Nose is corn and citrus with some leather. Palette is sweet corn and vanilla with a splash of rye spice. Finish is straight oak smoke and some butterscotch, all of which vanishes quickly. Very good, sweet, smooth. Not as legendary as the standard Rendezvous though.

One of the best whiskies on the bourbon trail. Nose of banana bread, spices, and caramel. Pallette of caramel, vanilla, and rye spice. Finish of vanilla, charred oak and more spices. Extremely smooth and complex, perfectly sweet.

2nd time tasting. Still get that solid honey aroma. But I don't get the caramel in the front. Instead I get cornbread nose, sweet bread and apple palette, with the lingering of apple and rye spice. Still very smooth.

I'm verifying my hyped 4.5. So tasty and sweet, so smooth. Aroma of straight caramel and apple (like a caramel apple!) with a little oak and spice. Pallette of caramel, sweet corn, and fresh apricot. Finish of oak tannons and toasted raw sugar. Quintessential bourbon indeed.

Interesting wheat sweetness to contrast the warm rye spice. Nose and pallette are both buttered cornbread. Nose has sweet wheat and some hot honey to it. Aftertaste is fresh wood and straight spice. Very tasty!

I can't believe I'm tasting Pappy. Thank you Viau. Vanilla, fruity, honey. Incredibly smooth.
