Solid bourbon, but probably not worth the price. Idk why but for me Woodford Bourbon is either double oak, double double, or bust.

Vanilla, spice and char on the nose. The pallette is very strong. Honestly you need a rock to open it up. Cherry, spice, and a stark contrast between bright fruit and a finish of super dark caramelized charred oak. Very interesting but not the best ive ever had. Like a neck jerk of flavors.

I gotta admit - for like an $18 bottle this is pretty impressive. I wouldn't pick it out to enjoy a bottle of it neat or on the rocks, but it was a pleasant sampling experience. This would be a fantastic bottle for making cocktails.

I hate to say this (because Penelope is from that mass producer in Indiana), but this was solid. Very similar to buffalo trace with the medium bright notes of honey, vanilla, and caramel. For $40 its hard to beat!

I had no knowledge of this before my Product Manager Chad Kloft showed up with one. Surprisingly good! Mostly quintessential notes - maple, oaky - with some char and some spicy complexity.

Tasted during the chaos of a night out in 2021. Wasn't sure how I felt about it, so I put a pin in it as a "maybe" and wanted to try it again someday.

This bottle is not worth the rarity, the fame, or the price (usually $70-$100) that its known for. Im not saying its a bad bourbon, but it deserves to be at the $30-$40 range.
