Whistlepig 10 Year Small Batch Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Vermont, Canada
Reviewed August 18, 2021 (edited September 3, 2021)Very smooth. Aroma of honeysuckle and sweet corn or like a corn syrup. Strong initial pallette of vanilla that evolves into the refreshing rye spice. A slight hint of the charred oak in the aftertaste. Very good rye. -
One of the smoothest whiskies I've ever had. Aromas of banana bread, brown sugar and straight vanilla extract (the Tribe says some cherries?). A sweeter, smoother, bolder bourbon pallette of molasses, wood smoke and burnt sugar (but less dry/complex). One of the best after tastes I've experienced, gets a little sharper with dried cherry and charred oak. Absolutely incredible. So smooth.
