Corn, oak, and smoke. Pretty smooth. Heavy on the corn.

Pretty tasty, but the peat is too strong and doesn't mesh with the rye well. The straight rye is better.

Nose - cherry and milk chocolate. Palette molasses, vanilla and smoke. Finish berries and oak.

Creme brulee and graham cracker forward indeed. Light and spicy indeed. Nose of vanilla. Palette of molasses. Finish of Smoky oak. This would be a decent bottle!

Decent rye spice, but I don't think the sweet balance is quite right.

Smooth and light, similar to Irish whiskey profile. Vanilla, oak. Strong apple wood though, a little too strong. Still good though

Greatest whiskey I've had so young! Only aged 1 year! Very nice touch of oak, honeysuckle, finish of honey and smoke. Very tasty

Of all the Van Brunt whiskeys, I would definitely buy a bottle of this. Great balance of spicy of the rye, and quintessential sweetness of the barley. Very tasty rye.
