Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B520
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 21, 2020 (edited February 21, 2021)In the nose, dark brown sugar, vanilla, and a hint of something savory (maybe some leather). Body is viscous, flavors are rich and cling to the tongue, definitely a long finish. Maybe a little less of the sweetness in the flavor and more to the savory notes with a hint of spice. Very solid alcohol heat on the palate and in the chest. Very smooth, especially for this proof. This is the rich deliciousness I expect from Heavan Hill. -

Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 12
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 5, 2020 (edited December 13, 2020)Such a wonderful bourbon. Yeah it is a little hot but holy cow is it worth it. Behind that heat is such a richness of deep flavors. Brown sugar pushing toward molasses, vanilla, smooth oak, some lingering spice with a hint of leather. I fall in love with this one again with every pour. -
Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey
Other Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 19, 2020 (edited April 18, 2020)Aroma is pepper and honey with a hint of vanilla oaky-ness. Flavor is slightly sweet, some oak and spice, maybe some mild cereal (corn?) notes. There is a slightly fruity high note in the finish (maybe apricot?). Body is a little thin and finish is dry. Some alcohol warming but definitely on the lighter side compared to what I am used to. A nice bourbon but on the mild side overall.
