Tastes

Strong peat smoke with the taste of salt, raisins, plums and dark fruits. Lingering warmth on the finish.

Nice dark color. Tastes of dried fruits, sweet spices, and grains.

My favorite rye tasted to date. Spicy, with a bit of grain. Herbal nose. Lingering finish.

Light peach and spice on the nose, with a bit more spice on the palate. Pleasant profile! Smooth finish.

Enjoyable. Nose has some of the barleywine scent matching Port City’s Colossal X beer. Makes sense since it is supposed to be the same mash. Slightly sweet, winy taste with a bit of oak, but not much. A young, rounded, medium finish. Not the Roundstone Distiller’s Rye, but a nice American whiskey.
