Beautiful color! A deep, dark amber with shades of pink. Sweet, rich, strawberry notes on the nose and palate, with hints of chocolate, and an excellent port wood finish.🏆 Club taste (HA) - 5/21/20

Like the Storm, smokey and peat-drenched but not overbearing. Brine, salt, kelp, and leather notes throughout. Maybe some tobacco leaves, and the slightest hint of fruit. Earthy, light and malty. An excellent maritime whiskey. (RA)

A nice light golden color, and good legs on the glass. The nose is very subtle, barely sweet, only a hint of smoke. The blends start slow, but open up into a multitude of flavors with vanilla, toffee, cereal, raisins, oak wood and peat. The premium Platinum and Blue are some of the best blends in the business! An excellent chance to try a rare expression of Bunnahabhain via the Alexander Murray brand. Classic Bunna earth notes, fruit, salted caramel, peppery spice and an oak finish. Lovely. (KM)

I’ve never been a fan of Jura’s branding, and Superstition might be bottom of the (scotch) barrel. Luckily, the whiskey is good. Oily, rich and malty in a light, honey-led dram. Earthy wheat grain, kissed by smoke. Sláinte! (KM) - 12/23/11

Salt spray and lemon in a maritime smoke. Easy to sip, but young and unrefined. Overall a bit thin. Nevertheless, a good dram and a nice entry level peat. (KM) - 12/23/11

From the Hielan to Parliament, GlenDronach does it right. Every age rounds out juuuuust a bit more, and the 15 is no exception. It takes everything great about the 12 and refines it. Lightly sweet, a little spice, creamy smooth and just right.🏆

Excellent nose, woody and peat drenched but not overbearing. Earth notes on the palate compliment the brine, rich smoke, and hints of fruit. A drop of water to make it just right. (KM) - 12/30/19
