Mature and noble for its age, there’s not much GD can’t do well. With honey notes throughout, and a light vanilla finish, it’s everything an 8 should be.

A beautiful, rich amber and thick, lasting legs coat the glass. The nose is ripe with vanilla notes, caramel, raisins, and cherries. A few drops of water opens the florals to another level. On the palate, a mild spice turns silky smooth where fruits, toffees, and a light nuttiness help make this one of the best 12’s in the business!🏆 Club taste (HA) - 8/27/20

Experimentation can be good or bad. And so here we have a hoppy scotch? Sure. I guess so. Whatever. (shrugs)

Classic GF vanilla, caramel, pepper spice and oak. Nothing groundbreaking, and sharp with the higher ABV, but still a nice dram from the good folks at Glenfiddich.

Part of a 2-3 hour tasting at the Glenfiddich Distillery. Prince Edward was on site (along with entourage and many members of the press) and management still made sure we were set up and well taken care of, stopping by to talk drams every 15 minutes. Outstanding service. It goes without saying but this 30-year was top of the heap. Perfectly well rounded, light and rich with subtleties in every sip. Cherries, apple spice and oranges, followed by vanilla, caramel, and chocolate notes throughout. A hint of coffee beans? Tobacco leaves. Toffee. Oak. Superbly complex and incredibly smooth. Great color. Great coat. Lots of character on the nose - Dried fruits, honey, vanilla, oak notes and a light spice. Rich and malty on the palate with a medium finish. Raisins, nutmeg, honey, toffee, caramel, oak, and a hint of cinnamon. Excellent.

As with the 12, the more prominent oak adds a little bitterness but rounds out the edges of an already dynamite dram. Dark cherries, lemon zest, and the signature vanilla and honey-layered richness are ever present, making for an excellent first fill from TB.
