Nose- astringent on the nose with pit fruits, vanilla, and fruit punch Body- rich, thick mouth feel, very sherry forward, cherry, vanilla, and dark chocolate, the proof point is truly hard to believe, that astringency does not continue into the flavor Finish- incredibly smooth and easy drinking the fruity dark chocolate notes continue, fantastic! Note- If you enjoy bourbon and scotch, this tastes like Balvenie Doublewood had a love child with EHT. I love this!

Rebel Distiller's Collection Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed July 23, 2021 (edited July 28, 2022)Nose- Fruit notes are present that I don’t usually get in wheated. Body- The pit fruit rings true here thankfully. This gives way to an almost spiced punch palate. Finish- Fruit continues into notes of baking spice. Had this side by side with another Triangle Trail Inn. This was barrel F220839. The other barrel was 6819677. It was much maltose and had butter notes reminiscent of dark chocolate. I like the fruity bites of this much more. -
Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon (95 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed July 23, 2021 (edited May 31, 2022)Nose- vanilla and honey Body- honey toast with a hint of green apple Finish- the honey toast gives way to grain notes that suggests a younger age Overall the nites are very nice but are not completely developed. -
Benchmark Full Proof Bourbon (125 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 23, 2021 (edited December 16, 2021)Nose- vanilla and green apple Body- bright rock candy sweetness upfront quickly fades to honey toast and a hint of green apple Finish- honey toast gives way to buttery corn that suggests that this is a younger bourbon (3 years or less) This is a huge improvement over the original Benchmark. It’s hard to be mad at this for the price point. -
Nose-Green Apple! Vanilla and powdered sugar round the nose out. This is very nice. Body- Very similar to the antique barrel but everything seems a little less bright. The green apple is less pronounced but more bitterness reminiscent of a tart Granny Smith. Finish- The bitterness continues and is reminiscent of walnuts. This is a nice pour with a clearly complex and mature finishing. However, I prefer the antique barrel.

Barrel Rye Single Barrel MG07
Rye — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited December 29, 2021)Nose- molasses and brown sugar Body- classic rye flavors come through strongly, brown sugar and baking spices are pervasive Finish- brown sugar gives way to sweet grass This was a very tasty Bourbon Barrons pick to benefit a breast cancer charity. -
High West Double Rye Barrel Select PX Finish
Rye — Utah, USA
Reviewed July 20, 2021 (edited December 1, 2021)Nose- Blends nose of bourbon and rye. Body- Cherry! Man, this has the brown sugar and baking spices in background of a quality rye but there are fruit notes of cherry that is pervasive and I love it. There is a cherry coke note that I really like! Finish-The rye comes through here. Baking spices and sweet grass. This is both interesting and tasty as hell. Slainte Milliardo! Buddha’s Belly Button 2021!
