Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Coy Hill High Proof (2021 Special Release)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed May 22, 2022 (edited September 1, 2022)This a great expression of JD, but given the allocations and secondary pricing, I would say a JD single barrel barrel proof select is a better bottle. -
Heaven Hill 17 Year Heritage Collection Barrel Proof Bourbon (Spring 2022)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 22, 2022 (edited September 3, 2022)This is a bold, oak forward bourbon with great complexity and a finish that goes for days. It has plenty of sweetness and a little of that heaven hill nutiness, but don't expect a low key sipping experience. This should be approached with a level of attentiveness and focus to really contemplate the various layers and flavors that come at you from all parts of the palate. -
High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 9 (All Scenes)
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed December 31, 2021 (edited July 1, 2022)Delicious rye. Obviously a bit sweeter and more fruit forward due to the finish, but if you're looking for a complex rye that still has plenty of spice but a some added layers of flavors then don't pass this up if you can find it. -
Glenmorangie Signet
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 31, 2021 (edited January 27, 2022)Incredible dram. Very long and complex finish following a delicious and creamy sip. Great great whisky. I could drink this every day but my wallet would not survive.
