So I got it because it was on special.. previously familiar with bulliet 10(was just okay) but figured it can't be terrible.. wellll its not terrible but definitely not for me. Tastes more like a rye whiskey than bourbon.. will not buy again not sure why people review it so highly. with that said Nose: Some toasted oak, rye amd some spices and plastic for some reason.. i wish it was leather but yeah smelled like plastic.. Palate: warm and spicy, your palate get a pungent sensation i also for some reason tasted plastic too... Finish: Spicy not very pleasant..35.0 CAD per Bottle

Okay so as a bourbon drinker I am not sure why this whiskey does not get a better reputation.. its by far not my first bottle of makers - I started by tasting makers 46 and loved it, this one its missing some of the complexity but its still hell of a good pour in my eyes. availability price quality all in one, yes there is better dont get me wrong but there will be always place in my cabinet for a bottle of makers mark! when you can choose between ( in the price range ) Makers Mark, Bulliet, Buffalo Trace or Gentleman Jack Id choose Makers. Nose: Fruity and rich. There are lovely notes of spiced honey and a little malmsey, hazelnut and a touch of toasty oak providing a backbone. Palate: Rich and full. There are notes of barley malt, a little nut oil with butterscotch and vanilla. Finish: Quite sweet with butterscotch and dry oak spice. lovely.37.0 CAD per BottleSAQ

After several months waiting for blanton to be available in Montreal I finally got it. dumped on 12-23-19 from barrel #27 rick #13 Stunning, it did not disappoint. Simply beautiful pour just delicious. drank it neat as no water is needed. Nose: Lots of sweet vanilla and oak after sitting a few minutes it bursts with caramel sweetness. Hints of marzipan alongside honey. Palate: Warm and some what sweet, body quite complex but so delicious that you don't mind taking another sip to discover more,i found it a bit syrupy alike can only imagine what barrel proof would feel like on the palate, its also marked by a mix of burnt sugar, caramel, orange, and cloves. Finish: well balanced with some vanilla, honey and charred oak. Again ill repeat myself, just delicious from nose to finish and have to say bottle design is stunning. now how to get all the eight different stoppers lol. First whiskey I give 5 stars 🌟70.0 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection

Very decent bourbon, if you are new to bourbon this is where you should start. You get the nose and palate of a good bourbon without going broke lol besides its quite smooth and sweet so a safe bet for those who are easily turned off by the harshness of some whiskeys. So a solid 8 especially for the price you can't get better. Nose: Sweet with caramel, creamy toffee, hints of rum spices and cereal sweetness. Palate: Brown sugar, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of toasty wood. Finish: Good length with sweet spices and toffee. I highly recommend.41.75 CAD per BottlePlace Longueuil

Jim Beam Single Barrel Bourbon (95 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 24, 2020 (edited January 16, 2022)Great bourbon 👌! I was pleasantly surprised as Jim beam is considered quite low shelf whiskey, this was actually really good had it with Jack Daniel's Single barrel to compare and JBSB did not loose by much to JDSBS overall considering the price a solid 9. maybe even little higher. Nose: Rye spices, with buttery corn and oaky vanilla. Palate: Oak char leads into creamy vanilla, brown sugar, burnt caramel and peppery spice. Finish: Hints of dried apricot, toasty oak and baking spices. Overall: Great pour for the price but for few bucks more would still buy JDSBS instead.55.75 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection -
Very good solid bourbon for any occasion. There is better but overall great pour. Nose: Honey sweetness with dry fruits. There are hints of vanilla and spices. Palate: Oak balanced with a bit of apricot and cinnamon spiciness. There are notes of vanilla mixed with toffee. Rich, buttery body and a satisfying mouthfeel. Finish: Long and lingering and ends in notes of sweet spices Overall: a lovely bourbon solid 849.75 CAD per BottleSAQ

Well this was better than expected but still once again showed me that I am defenetly not a scotch guy. This juice cant compete with a a good bourbon. Got it because it was on special and it said unpeated on the bottle because I assumed it was peat that turned me off from bowmore. Despite it stating that it was unpeated I was still was able to smell and taste the peat ? Why?? Once I got pass through unpleasant nose I was able to still note some good things in it like ripe plums, some vanilla, bitter dry oak notes, plus it has oily feel so that's pretty much the only good things in the whisky. Will not buy again, assume this bottle will last me a very long time as I am not planning on trying it out again anytime soon.67.0 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection

Okay after few bottles down experimenting with this juice.. I have to say this is the best weathed whiskey there is. Maybe only pappy or old weller can beat it but I haven't yet to try it so cant comapre. NOSE Wow! Sweet nose.Very pleasant side by side with the wheat are cherries, caramel, vanilla, oak! Palate: Caramel and toasted wood moving along with vanilla ice cream, under ripe citrus, sweet grains, roasted corn, cinnamon notes. FINISH Caramel notes mixed with wood that slowly fades with a long finish.. LOVELY! 9.5

This is the first scotch I am trying. I am a bourbon drinker but wanted to see what's the fuss is all about with this peated liquor.. Very disappointing.. smoke on the nose more smoke on the palate and smoke during the finish.. Nose: Smoke and ash like smoke now competing with the ash. Palate: Perfumed smoke some vanilla and dark Peat. Some oily sweetness. Finish: Smoky and long dry grass, a touch of citrus. Overall: not my thing at all. Will explore unpeated scotches eventually but really turned me off for a good while. See you later scotch =) hello bourbon !62.5 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection

Back when I started my bourbon tasting it was one of my first bottles and I obviously loved it hence decided to give it a go one more time for memories sake. Now after some more experimenting in higher end bourbons it's just an okay pour not more.. the nose gives to much Acetone which shows that the batch is quite young.. after sitting in a glass for half an hour becomes more subtle and vanilla sweetness and original bourbons smells starts to show. Nose: Hints of charred oak and cinnamon vanilla a bit of cherry but got to wait a while for them to show up or you can add a drop of water to speed up the process. Palate: Caramel sweetness, clove, cardamom, corn, peanut brittle and spicy rye. Finish: A little hint of cinnamon charred oak and citrus on the finish. Overall score 7 not the worst whiskey but I'd think twice before buying it again there is just so many better ones at this price range. The bottle is super slick and color very promising but.. somewhat deceiving from nose to finish. Knob creek small batch is few bucks cheaper but superior.57.0 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection
