Color: nice honey gold, oily slow running legs Nose: typical bourbon nose, alcohol, honey, vanilla, maple syrup, sweet corn and some oak. This has a sweet comforting nose. Palate: medium bodied, arrival is slow, peppery, cinnamon, maple. Finish: medium to long, very pleasant pepper and lasting sweet and toffee finish. This is better than Gentleman Jack. A mid range bourbon worth having.

Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 7, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)Mild Sweet peach on the nose. I found it harsh on the pallate, with a bitter finish. Very young bourbon. hope the 101 is better. -
Nose: vanilla, caramel, ripe stewed apple, oak wood, some spice, freshly ground black pepper. Taste: sweet entry, spicy, thick syrupy mouthfeel, maple syrup Finish: licorice note, bitter sweet, caramel and vanilla, medium long, turning dry and nutty. This is a decent sipping bourbon. Nothing special or out of the ordinary though. Kind of generic. 4RSmB is more interesting.

Color: gold, medium running legs Nose: briny sweet malt, brine is dominant, hints of pineapple and grapefruit and honey. Taste: medium arrival, oily buttery feel, medium bodied, cinnamon, pepper, slightly bitter but not unpleasant. Finish: medium length, peppery, sweet. Conclusion: good winter sipping whisky. Would I buy it again? No, not because it's not good, but because I would like to try something new.
