Tastes

Nose: lots of sweet fruits, some vanilla and oats. This smells more like a scotch than a bourbon Taste: oak and oats are up front with vanilla and dried fruit in the back Finish: pepper hits you in the face and then mellows out into a sweet brown sugar caramel finish

Nose: vanilla and butterscotch. Very mellow smell Taste: this whiskey is very easy to drink. Good flavor, but no real bite. Some apple/cinnamon, vanilla and caramel sweetness Finish: you get hit with some fruit (strawberry maybe?) and a smooth silky finish. Pleasantly surprised by this cheap “American whiskey” and how drinkable this rye is. I bet it would make a good old fashioned. Not complex, but I enjoyed it.

Nose: maple, brown sugar and spice with underlying charred wood and citrus Taste: it starts off as a slightly medicinal caramel, then moves to some charcoal and light vanilla. Finish: sweetness gives way to almost an oily wood and corn. Long finish and pretty dry.

Nose: very fragrant. Floral with heather and spice Taste: very smooth. You can really taste the honey notes with some smoke and malt Finish: a nice warm, long finish with a party ending Extremely drinkable. Good flavor without a medicinal burn.

Ruth’s chris! Nose: lots of fragrance! Thick smoke with a little fruit in the back. Almost smells like salt air a little. Taste: you get punched in the tastebuds with pear and pepper, and a little apple or pear on the back of the tongue Finish: long and complex. Smoke gives way to malt and some sweetness.

Nose: very sweet, not spicy aroma, vanilla, caramel and honey Taste: light spice and some sweetness, almost a burnt caramel flavor, very thin mouthfeel Finish: thin with some vanilla and spice Pretty tasty but nothing fantastic.

Nose: fruity; lemon and spice with a splash of vanilla Taste: bright and fresh, vanilla, creamy flavor Finish: long, malty and a little fruity

Nose: SPICE, vanilla, caramel, wood, dark fruit Taste: lots of spice, vanilla, wood and a little toasted nut Finish: spice, oak, nuts with a long finish

Nose : a little orange, licorice and lots of peat Taste: starts with honey and fades to smoke and peat Finish: smooth but tastes a lot like I'm chewing on moss. Now I feel like I am the embodiment of Ron Swanson.

Nose: sweet caramel; vanilla, spice on the backend Taste: caramel, corn, vanilla, earthy grains and tasty smoke Finish : not complex but a far cry from being terrible The best cheap bourbon out there.
