Reviewed December 25, 2020 (edited May 11, 2021)Ripened fruit, prunes, and fruitcake on the nose, with a leather, wood undertone. In the mouth, a gradual build of coffee and fruitcake, concluding with a taste of rich cocoa and citrus zest, all with a sherried wood baseline throughout. -

Reviewed December 24, 2020 (edited August 5, 2022)On the nose, notes of sweet and rich maple syrup. On the palette, smooth oak and subtle pancakes. At the tail end, it concludes with a spicy burst of black pepper and cinnamon. The spicy kick gets subtler as the whisky aerates, through it remains present. -
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 18, 2020Strong aroma of sugar roasted hazelnuts, with a hint of plum. On the tongue, a smooth wave coats the mouth with sweet sugar-coated raisin bran and bits of crushed corn. Throughout, there are subtle notes of maple syrup and french toast. -

Reviewed December 18, 2020 (edited January 7, 2021)Heavy scent of frosting covered cinnamon roll, like a Cinnabon. On the tongue, it is incredibly smooth. It starts with a number of flavors, including dark chocolate and deep, rich dried fruit, like raisins and apricots. It then smoothly transitions to orange and citrus flavors, and ginger. -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 25, 2020 (edited May 28, 2021)Strong smells of peat, smoke, and oak. On the tongue, immediate wave of brine and sea salt. After the punch of smoke, peat, and salt, a rush of vanilla, butterscotch, and a little fudge take over.
