Peppery and citrus-sweet on the nose, with smoke and sea water. Tastes first of figs, chocolate and ginger, then a hot blast of peat that lasts awhile, but settles into salty, meaty flavor, the after taste of chocolate chip cookies, and a lingering post-cigar taste. Noice. I’ve enjoyed every Ardbeg I’ve had so far. Love it.

My post-Covid nose is slowly coming back, but this was a gift, so I had to give it a try. I get a lot of vanilla and peat - maybe even vanilla ice cream - even while the glass is on the table. Smells delicious. Beautiful pale amber in color with some serious legs. First taste is very smooth, with more vanilla, then a rush of peat, salt, and green grass, plus a ton more vanilla. Smokey finish, with a hint of things I can’t quite detect yet that linger on the tongue for a nice long time - maybe dried fruit? I’ll come back when I can fully sensate again and compare. Get vaccinated, y’all - I did, and I am positive it saved me from a hospital visit. You can fuck off with that horse paste. And fuck Greg Abbott, while I’m at it. Has a nose of honey and meatiness, and sweet maritime air. Tastes smooth and salty on the front end with campfire smoke. This gives way to an intense flavor of pipe smoke and diesel fumes and more salt, particularly on the breath, which ends quickly, landing in a bandaid/just smoked a cigar flavor that lingers nicely. I couldn’t handle this on the first try, but now there are moments where nothing else will do.95.0 USD per Bottle

Amber in appearance, with a nose that’s floral and little fruity. Super smooth on the front, with a short lived note of honey, then an intense flavor of dried apricots. On the breath, that apricot flavor practically explodes and becomes a mix of dried fruit - really nice. The tail is match sticks and salt water, and doesn’t linger. This was a surprise birthday gift from my brother. Lovely.

At 5 years, you can tell this one hasn’t got any frontal lobes, yet, but it’s not bad for the price. Has a nose of Texas smoked brisket and fruit, with a bit of vanilla. Pale amber in appearance. Tastes of brown sugar and grilled apples on the front end, with some peat smoke. This gives way quicker than I’d like, to leather and a salt, and kind of bitter orange peel on the tail, which sticks around. I’ll have it again.
