Nose: vanilla for days Taste: vanilla into oak Finish: hot and cherry comes theough at the end Update after reading review: damn if I didn’t pick up the leather on the nose

Private barrel pick. Nose is tremendous with cherries galore. Cherry continues on the taste with the sweetness almost effervescent on the tip of my tongue, followed by vanilla and oak at the back. Very long finish.

Smoke and bacon on the nose. Peat wasn’t overpowering on the taste. I was a little afraid, but I enjoyed it!

Nose: smoke, band-aids, and honey. Taste: smoke - not overpowering but not much else comes through. Finish: dry.

Store pick - barrel from floor 2 and aged 14 years! Nose is vanilla and brown sugar. Taste hits the front of the tongue with a tang reminiscent of something salty. Oak comes through on the taste. Maybe some dill like a rye. Loooong finish with a leather note.

Huge cinnamon aroma. Less so on the taste, where there was something offsetting the sweet - maybe leather.

Nose: caramel apple, black tea Taste: much less sweet than I expected from the nose, lots of oak Finish: chocolate, long finish with persistent heat, maybe some of the sherry left on the tongue

Nose mainly port from the finishing. Taste brought sweetness with raisin.

Mentioned to the bartender that I can’t find any Weller beyond the SR at any of the 20 or liquor stores I’ve tried. Guy next to me pulls out a bottle of Antique 107 that was a barrel pick (and non-chill filtered at that) and casually offers me a pour. Maybe it was the shock of the experience, but it was glorious (and I don’t usually go for wheated bourbons). The best cherry note I’ve ever gotten.

Tried after HP12 and got more smoke but also more besides the smoke with some fruit/floral notes. Also a much longer finish.
