Highland Park 12 Year Viking Honour
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed January 24, 2019 (edited March 14, 2019)Smoke more subtle than I expected. Besides that I didn’t pick up much else, maybe too focused on the smoke with it being my first foray into peated whiskey. -
Redbreast Lustau Edition
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed January 23, 2019 (edited October 8, 2019)Buttery smell. Sweet wine note on the taste with some spice. Finish almost tastes like scotch (oak?). Long finish with very sweet and tangy taste left on my teeth and tongue. -
Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 22, 2019Nose has some vanilla like bourbon. Red wine on the taste. Dry finish. Pretty delicious. -
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 18, 2019 (edited January 26, 2019)Strong aroma of dark fruits this time, not the butter I got previously. Perhaps from following the Compass Box Spice Tree I just had. Did get creaminess on the finish. After reading the review, maybe the dark fruits I got were more of the sugar-roasted nuts they mentioned. -
1792 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon 8 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 17, 2019 (edited May 2, 2021)Just meh. Didn’t dislike anything, but nothing at all remarkable. Faded into the background in a flight with Auchentosh and Glenlivet and compared to Baker’s earlier in the night.
