Mars Iwai Tradition Finished in Napa Wine Casks
Blended — Japan
Reviewed February 5, 2024 (edited February 17, 2024)Neck pour. Almost more of a bourbon finished wine rather than the other way around. The Napa cab overpowers all other notes, but they play a nice second fiddle. Sumptuous grape notes tinged with baking spices, vanilla and bbq sauce. Pleasant buzzy finish. Delicious!51.99 USD per Bottle -
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 2, 2024 (edited February 17, 2024)This is rather nice. All the best notes of WT 101 tamed, just a bit. Caramel, chocolate, toffee, baking and rye spices, balanced, spicy, long finish, with a nice Kentucky hug. -

Edradour 10 Year The Distillery Edition
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 21, 2024 (edited February 17, 2024)Initial pours. It’s kind of a big, jumbled, merky mess, but a good one. Salted, grilled apricots, honey, caramel, and funky, musty sherry notes stand out. Reminds me a bit of the Loch Lomond 12 year, although this is richer. -
Delord Armagnac 25 Year
Armagnac — Bas-Armangac, France
Reviewed January 18, 2024 (edited January 24, 2024)This has 10 years of additional aging over the XO. Same burnt sienna coloring. Semisweet, full and rounded with notes of tannic oak, dried red fruits, coffee, caramel, toffee, cocoa, walnuts, baking and barrel spices. Decadent, sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. -
Delord Armagnac XO
Armagnac — Bas-Armagnac , France
Reviewed January 18, 2024 (edited January 24, 2024)Maybe the color of burnt sienna. I’m thinking this is artificial. Notes of gingerbread, ripe orchard fruit, rich oak, coffee, caramel, crème brulee and hint of barrel spice. Slick, sweet, dangerously easy to drink. -
