Sweetens Cove Tennessee Blended Bourbon (21 Release)
Bourbon — Tennessee , USA
Reviewed September 25, 2024 (edited September 30, 2024)Overrated, just like Peyton Manning. I joke, but anything else in the same retail price range would dominate this like the Legion of Boom dominated Peyton and the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII!. Nose is pretty nice, a hint of smoke?, tangy with a sweet Dickelness, lime stone, caramel, soda bread, dill pickle, baking spices and marzipan. Actually, I find the nose quite compelling. Palate is soft and inviting with a general sweet fruitiness, some minerals and baking spices. Finish is fairly long and spicy with minerals, flinty stone and a hint of baking spices. You can’t escape the Dickel DNA in this, but it is actually pretty nice and it doesn’t upset my stomach like most Dickel products.24.99 USD per Bottle -
Sweetens Cove Kennessee Bourbon
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed September 21, 2024 (edited September 26, 2024)First taste of the Kennesse is nice, sugary and spicy with maple and vanilla, but a bit hot.9.99 USD per Bottle -
Sweet mesquite Texas bbq note on the nose! But after a while in the glass it seems imitation, cheap. Slick and sweet with caramel on the palate, but leaves a bitter note. Warming finish, but the imitation and bitter notes compete with the nice sweet caramel, and mesquite bbq notes. Can’t say which wins.

Corazon Single Barrel Reposado
Tequila Reposado — Jalisco , Mexico
Reviewed September 13, 2024 (edited September 20, 2024)This review is for the W.L. Weller cask finished version from Remedy Liquor. Very pale yellow to the eye. Nose has a nice vanilla note, faint baking spices and, well, not much more. Palate is slightly viscous with real nice vanilla note, again with the faint baking spices. Finish is short and pleasant with more of the same vanilla, the baking spices are more pronounced, and a hint of agave finally appears confirming that this is indeed tequila. Easy to drink. I also tasted the Eagle Rare finished and Stagg finished bottles. Eagle Rare: Same ol same as as above. Maybe a hint more baking spices. Stagg: This was the most enjoyable of the three. More pronounced baking spices, longer finish. But overall, meh. I would make entries for all three finishes, except for the fact that after tasting each, I combine them with some other tequilas to make an infinity bottle. That’s how much I thought of them. -
