    Initial nose was typical Jim Beam. After sitting for 10 minutes it revealed hibiscus flower, honey, cloves, spicy rye and peanut shells. The palate is smooth, mild caramel. The finish is medium length a little spicy with a slight bitterness. This did not age well. Finish became too bitter for me to enjoy. Drain poured the last half.

    On first taste I thought I should have read the reviews before my purchase, second taste was no better. With ice and coke it was tolerable.

    Heavy peat smoke with brine and caramel on the nose, the smokey peat and sweet caramel on the palate don’t really mesh, smokey, spicy medium finish. A splash of water mutes the smoke on the nose and helps blend and smooth out the palate, it also tames the finish a little.
