Tastes

Delicious and perfectly sweet. I compare this closely with Bowman Brothers Small Batch or Eagle Rare, just slightly sweeter. Heavy cherries and a hint of red sweet apple. Very smooth and smashable whiskey. But the Eagle and Bowman are much easier to find for half the money.

There is nothing really wrong with this, its just a bit plain. Its very light in color and light in flavor like a light beer. Almost watery. The first sip had a little pleasant baking spices but the following sips were plain watery, nothing notable whiskey. Its ok but I would just put it in a cocktail.

This stuff is terrible, both the nose and taste is 75w-90 gear oil. Smells burnt. Had my whole family try it side by side with 10 other bourbons and nobody liked it.

Massively exceeds my expectations for a $20 bottle. Nice nutty, brown sugar, caramel. Smooth, and very drinkable. I started with $30-50 bottles and founds some really nice ones. This is my first $20 bottle and am really happy. Would like some more fruit or berry flavors but I could drink this all day.

Not bad, its pretty good but I got a growing list I would rather have. I get sweet caramel on the nose, and I get nice strong bold flavors. Caramel, and spice and the finish tastes like apples to me, sweet red apples. But the spice and spicy aftertaste slightly turns me off to it, still a nice drink but I have others I like more.

Got a bad band-aid, chemical nose and a little on the first taste, then 2nd sip and onward seems like just your average scotch. Not something I will buy again. Monkey Shoulder for the same price is much much nicer.

Have to update my review after trying some more stuff. Its good but for the money there are much better ones. Smelling it out of the bottle I got some raspberry and maybe cherry on the nose, in the glass I am getting brown sugar as opposed to the usual caramel nose. Sipping it, boy where to start, this has so much going on. Brown sugar, licorice, cherry, oak, maybe a little pear, a very very light spice. Extremely bold flavor and the finish is lasting with a tingling mouth and a nice brown sugar after taste. Extremely pleasant.

I usually don't get much on the nose, but this has a beautiful cherry to it. It has a real nice cherry flavor with some light spice and maybe a little green apple. The finish lasts a while and makes your mouth tingle with a cherry jolly-rancher vibe. Very good sipping bourbon, very happy to have this bottle.

I am not good with the smell or the nose, but this to me is really a pleasant sweet caramel on the nose with a tiny touch of honey, and then the taste is so smooth and warm (first time I have used warm to describe taste), its sweet honey caramel, and a little kentucky hug going down and the finish is nice and a little tingle and spice followed by a thick aftertaste as if you swallowed a spoonful of honey. This is one of the most pleasant sippers I have had to date, not super complicated or complex but in this case that is good, its got its flavor and does it so well.
