solid Sherry finished scotch. Nose: sweet, candied nuts, sweet dried fruit mostly dates for me. Taste: sweet on the front with Sherry dark fruit, some vanilla and grass. ends with just a bit of ginger spice and goes away fast. easy to drink. I love Balvenie DW, but for 1/2 the price this would be a easy alternaive.

Heavy ethanol burn at first, young grain alcohol shines thru too much in this blend. great mixer.

at first approach I was blown away. this is my first Islay Peated Scotch. All I got was deep smoke like if I threw a wet rag into my pit smoker for 3 hours and took a whiff. first glass was all iodine, brine and that same smoke. Like sipping dripping from a fire pit. I left alone for a week came back. this time it was a sweeter, more fruit notes coming thru but still harsh smoke and peat. Then I started mixing into cocktails, the Penicillin is a good one to approach this hell fire Peaty Scotch

nothing too complex, typical cereal notes and smooth finish. light almost a vodka quality to it. Great for a Whisky and Ginger Ale.

I was surprised by how well this blended scotch layed on the palate. not too sweet or spicy but a nice middle tone playing of oak, honey and apple. but not very complex. nice daily sipper, nothing to ponder over but delicious.

Neat the first taste :Vapors hits you with a sharp burn on the nose and back of the tongue. Some caramel and vanilla flavors are apparent. An ice cube really did the trick for me. Vanilla cream and oak with brown sugar linger very nicely. Very enjoyable, stands up to ice very well.

Plum , very fruity on the nose and palatte. Honey and a lot of spice come through, but finish quick. The bourbon and port cask really come through but too bad it doesn't linger enough. No high expectations when purchased, but I am not dissapointed after tasting.
