Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 8, 2021 (edited May 16, 2021)Nose: ethanol then vanilla but light, sweet maybe milk chocolate. After a palette cleanse and after letting it sit for about 5 mins, now I get a fruit forward nose, Cherry then the ethanol hits again Palate: super sweet vanilla start then an immediate burn in the back of the throat Second taste and the vanilla stays longer. 2nd sip after palette cleanse is very fruity, cherry and vanilla sweetness, less burn but the tingle is still there Finish: hot and bitter, tingly on the lips. After 3rd sip the hot becomes a cinnamon flavor. Overall, it’s good. I think it should have some air before it can be fully enjoyed. A couple drops of water could probably help bring more of the fruit notes to the front and tame the hot a bit in the finish.21.99 USD per Bottle -
Nose: ethanol at first, oak, black pepper, vanilla Palate: starts with a little sweetness but turn bitter quick Finish: bitter in the back of the throat, long finish but not good. One ice cube: a little sweeter in the front but the bitter finish over powers every thing. I don’t think I’ll return to this one
