George Dickel 15 Year Tennessee Single Barrel
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 31, 2021 (edited August 15, 2021)This absolutely knocked my socks off. I’ve not been a Dickel fan at all (the nutty thing just gets me) but this one hits ALL the right notes. I happened to find a single barrel store pick, which might be why this one seems so special. It’s a 100 proof barrel strength and for the price it’s a STEAL! -

Three Boys Farm Distillery - 7 Year/Batch 2
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited April 7, 2022)I absolutely love everything about this off the beaten path boutique (I know that can sound cliche) distillery. They make quite possible some of the best bourbon I’ve ever had. It’s unreal. I didn’t taste anything that I wouldn’t put at the top of my shelf. Batch 6 has a perfect cherry note and Batch 7 comes with a char and finish that contends for the best I’ve ever tasted. -
Knob Creek Cask Strength Straight Rye (2018 Release)
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited October 8, 2021)I absolutely love this bottle. It’s simply my favorite Knob Creek expression…and it’s not particularly close. It has the heat and spice you’d hope for paired with a caramel and honey wash that lands perfectly. At times I pick up hints of cinnamon or pepper- but somehow maintains its sweetness in a way that leaves you clamoring for another pour.70.0 USD per Bottle -
Knob Creek 12 Year Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited September 1, 2021)Great balanced flavor. Plenty of vanilla and sweet caramel notes- maybe a touch of nuttiness (that I associate to Beam products) on the back end. Depending on the night I can pick up hints of chocolate as well. I really like this bourbon. To me, it’s worth the extra $ over the 9yr, if you can find it.60.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited September 14, 2021)I always rate things including value. That said, I couldn’t rate this higher. It’s got the perfect amount of heat, spice, depth of flavor and a phenomenal finish. This is ALWAYS on my shelf and NEVER disappoints.54.0 USD per Bottle -
Redwood Empire Lost Monarch Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — USA
Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited August 9, 2021)This is a fantastic bottle. Seriously leads the charge in the “crushable” category. It’s the first one I reach for in the summer.40.0 USD per Bottle
