Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 15, 2023 (edited March 16, 2023)Nose: the usual vanilla and caramel notes with a hint of fruits. Sweet smell on the nose Taste: like the nose, traditional bourbon taste - at least for me. Smooth vanilla and caramel-brown sugar up front. The sweet intro is prevelant throughout, then opens up with slight oak notes at the end. Finish: moderate finish with a light spice and heat. There is also a slight leather and oak finish that lingers into your next sip Overall: Your traditional bourbon that is a cut above of the rest for me. I enjoyed the EW White Label, so as a SiB this is a treat. This is my go to sipper. Hard to beat at msrp or close to. Sad that theyre only going to sell this out of Kentucky only from now one. Definitely will make a game out of asking for this when checking out whiskey from now on. If you see it at less than 35$, grab it and give it a try. Rating: 6.75/10- t8ke scale (almost makes 7 but not quiete. Still a great pick). 6 | Very Good | A cut above.32.0 USD per Bottle -
Been eager to try this and have only heard good things. Was fortunate enough to snag this bad boy on sale. So here it goes. Review based on 2nd pour - day after trying the neck pour. Nose: fruity, brown sugar, vanilla, do I smell char/oak? Taste: vanilla/sweet, then hits with a balanced oaky flavor that lingers a bit. First time tasting a bourbon that’s more oak forward Finish: medium to long lasting finish. Tastes of oak and char. Warms up coming down Overall: very good and enjoyable. I could sip this on the daily. Being my first oak forward bourbon, it’s a flavor profile I’d need to get used to. Pleasantly surprised that Makers fields something like this. Granted my last Makers was in college and I took shots of it. Overall, happy to get this on sale (50$), but not sure if I’ll get at full price elsewhere (typically 75 plus around me). Rating: 6.5/10- t8ke scale 1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out. 2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice. 3 | Bad | Multiple flaws. 4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists. 5 | Good | Good, just fine. 6 | Very Good | A cut above. 7 | Great | Well above average. 8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional. 9 | Incredible | An all time favorite. 10 | Perfect | Perfect.50.0 USD per Bottle

Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A123
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 3, 2023 (edited April 4, 2023)Nose: Cherry, caramel, chocolate Mouthfeel: lightly syrup, not as viscous as c922 Palate: caramel-cherry, light brown sugar-chocolate Finish: smooth with a hint of spice/heat but not overwhelming. Doesnt go all the way dow. Overall: 4.0-4.25. Cant go wrong with this batch. Lighter compared to c922 for reference. Smells of caramel, cherry, and a hint of chocolate. Not too bold, which im wanting bc of c922. The mouthfeel and palate are somilar: light and wanting. Maybe im wanting something more viscous, bold; in your face yet comforting. Its a great pour. Grateful to have it, but I wont seek a second or third bottle. 7/10 on the t8ke scale.65.0 USD per Bottle -
Slightly less ethanol on the back end than kirland. Cinammon, some caramel, and little spice on the back end. Decent in an old fashion. Not sure if id make this my own daily sipper. Would buy again to try again, but not as a handle. Dont buy as a handle unless you really loke this30.0 USD per Bottle
