I get a lot of char flavor from this bourbon. It tastes older - as far as bourbons go. This lower proof is ok for me since I think the water brings back the sweet taste that’d otherwise be lost. this would be a very heavy, burnt, earthy tasting bourbon at 100 proof. So maybe the lower proof is it’s saving grace? I like it but don’t love it. I do enjoy the long finish and the mouthful of flavor that lasts. Wouldn’t buy it again.89.0 USD per Bottle

Old Ezra 7 Year Barrel Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 10, 2021 (edited March 16, 2021)I really love this bourbon and many of Lux Rows offerings. This one is fantastic. Lux Row 12 yo Bourbon is superb too. I got two Old Ezra 7yo and love the rich flavor. I think the tasting notes in the review here are accurate. Heavy flavors and long finish. It tastes older that 7 yo but then again that’s when a barrel could peak I suppose. I don’t know how they do that. Their distillery tour is first class as with this bourbon.69.0 USD per Bottle -
I bought two of these bottles and don’t regret it. To me it reminds me of WT American Spirit back in 2006 or so. I think this is one of the best bourbons I’ve had in many years. It hits the spot for me. I highly recommend it. You won’t be short changed in flavor or finish. It has the same notes as 9 yo Knob but more of everything.99.0 USD per Bottle

Calumet Farm 12 Year Single Rack Black Bourbon (Discontinued)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 10, 2021 (edited January 5, 2022)Sweet, oak, light char. Thin feel. Smooth with minimal kick. Finish is medium to low . I like it but prefer a longer finish. I don’t hate it either. It’s ideal as a daily pour maybe...but it so mediocre. But for twelve years old I expected more rich taste. One dimensional blah. Update: after three pours I dumped the bottle into the drain. Wasted my money.99.0 USD per Bottle
