Tastes

This is a great product and one of my favorite sippers. Perfect balance of sweet and spice with A bit of wood on it.

Just an all around excellent product. Great mouthfeel. A bit sweeter than I’d prefer ideally, but not overly so. Love the legal tender bottle look.

About what I expected from a cheaper aged rum. Perfect for mixing, not really for sipping.

Very smooth, and certianly on the sweet side. Hides the natural rum flavors a bit, but still very enjoyable and quite unique. Update: after a few tastes on different days, I’m significantly downgrading this. It’s too sweet for my sensibilities, and more problematic still, it just doesn’t taste enough like aged rum. Instead, I get another flavor taking over midway through the taste that I assume is the sherry, which fights with the rum enough to confuse itself. Wanted to like this more, but just not for me.

Still somewhat new into sipping rums, but man, this will be tough to beat. Exquisite flavor, toasted coconut, toffee, and classic rum. Long, tasty finish. Bottle looks amazing, too. I would buy a case of these if I had the room to do so.
