Very sweet. Expected a lot more smoke. Reminds me a bit of Johnny Walker Gold with peat. Best when slightly chilled.

Very pleasant. Similar taste profile to Jack Daniels but smoother. Same price as JD in SA.

First SA single malt I have had. Much better than expected. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Quite peaty.

Won the Wold's Best Grain Whisky award by Whisky Magazine in 2013. Interesting take on a South African bourbon. Since winning the award the price has doubled locally to $18 which is about the same as a bottle of Jack Daniels. Just like Jacks, it needs to be served on ice.

Smooth and pleasant. Great for novice whisky drinkers. The merlot of whiskey used in Johnnie Walker blends. Boring just like merlot..

This whisky was voted the wold' best blended whisky in 2012 by Whisky Magazine. Not sure I agree. Better than Johnie Walker Red or Famous Grouse for sure, but a JW Black or Double Black runs rings around it. Very good value at $10 locally though.

Very average blend, good with a mixer. Better than the lower level J&B and White Horse for example. For less money I would rather have our local Three Ships or Bain's blends.
