W.L. Weller Special Reserve
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedAnother overrated bourbon...It's average at best. Nose to palate not too exciting, but the finish is the best part...and that isn't great either.
Benromach 10 Year
Peated Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedA well balanced scotch. When you are ready for peat then this is the one to start with trying. It didn't make me hungry for food, but I did want more of this scotch
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
Tennessee — Tennessee, USATastedNot impressed...If I'm going to have TN whiskey, I expect 🍌. It's unfortunately weak in the SB.
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedThe more I have...the more I like it. The wine favors add a deeper, sweeter note. The higher proof is a plus, too.
Balcones Baby Blue
Corn — Texas, USATastedTo a refined palate, this whiskey taste like ass with a corn cob in it.
Auchentoshan Three Wood
Single Malt — Lowlands, ScotlandTastedI don't get the tobacco in the tasting notes. It's a solid Scotch! Enjoyable to the end...
Pikesville Straight Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USATastedHigh rating for a Rye...Distiller notes spot-on. It's better with ice. I tried neat but was overwhelmed with rye spices. The ice brings out the flavors.
Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedToo much hype on this one...can you say typical SB bourbon? Nice for a bourbon but one note. 😐
Westward American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Oregon, USATastedUpon opening, Westward has a pleasant unique bourbon taste. On the nose, I get...sigh...usual bourbon but SURPRISE, something different on the palate and finish. One of the best bourbons I have rated.
1792 Sweet Wheat
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedSweet wheat is the weakest of the 1792 line-up. Save your money for scotch.
