Tastes

I get lots of corn and peanuts on the nose with the corn staying solid on the palate. Spiciness adds to a medium length finish.

It's true. Let the whisky set awhile. The nose is full of apples. It gets better on the palate. I haven't discerned e flavors, yet, but it's nice. The finish is medium and relaxing... After many tastings, it got better and better. A rare 5 star!

Good bourbon. I get birthday cake and the addition of raisins and apples on the nose. The finish has a cinnamon apple and spice favor. The finish is warm and medium in length. Tastings kept getting better. Great price, great whiskey!

Nice bourbon for the price! It's an everyday whiskey that you can enjoy. Sweet with a solid corn flavor from start to finish. It's a 3.25. Update...4 years later. As a "seasoned" sommelier, this one is desperate for a new review. I'm embarrassed of the overrated earlier review. This one falls flat on its face. Mixer at best!!!

I expected more from a 12 yr Scotch whisky. It's lightly peated on the finish. I tend to avoid the peated Scotches, but if I wanted to tackle the peat monster I would start with this one... update... tastings got better and better each time! Enough for me to try the 3 Wood.

Originally a 4 star but downgraded it to a 3. It's too fruity and sweet. No balance.

A weak rye. Not a fan and not worth trying again.

This one's rough. Only good for shooting.

Wonderful! A close 5 star. A must have to restock. Second go around was nice. Not the original 4.75 I gave it but close. I like the chocolate and fairly long finish.
