This is a cool whiskey. Bought it cause I like rye and hot whiskies, and my lady usually sticks with slightly-sweet Irish whiskey. It is lingering in the back of my mouth really nicely. It's oily, in a way, but then the heat and floralyness of it makes it feel dryer and lighter. Def an interesting drink!

Lock Stock & Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey 13 Year
Rye — Canada
Reviewed February 18, 2015 (edited October 2, 2018)This is impeccable. This rye doesn't kick too much or weigh you down. It seemed pretty clean and balanced. It seemed dryer or maybe slightly smoky? It was such a different taste then I normally expect from a rye I has trouble making out some of the complexities! Bravo, Lock, Stock, and Barrel-- you are a lovely rye. -
