A nice sipping rum, nothing profound. With the price of this one being right in between plantation 5 year and diplomatico exclusiva I’d either save a buck and go with the former which is very similar or splurge and spring for the latter which is a notch above.

Samaroli is a distributor that started their journey with scotch and that is apparent with their rum selection. Smoke, burnt sugar, bright fruit, honey, and leather come through clearly on the nose and palate. Very light but still complex and mature. Excited I found this gem and got to try 3 of the very exclusive Samaroli rums on a casual lunch stop. *chefs kiss*

A little thin but smoooooth. Lots of vanilla, lots of fun. Drank with locals amidst the sweet sounds of salsa music at a cantina in cartagena. Viva Colombia!

A bit more mild than anticipated but still delicious. No ice in this one.
