Just good wheat whiskey. If you like Weller, you'll love this. Better than Weller 12 and 107. π Super sweet. Classic Weller profile π Toasted vanilla. Fantastic and super approachable. Even smoother on the palate than on the nose π Just so smooth. And it still lingers. I'm getting maybe pine in addition to the flavors on the palate If you see it for less than $150 and that's in the budget for a splurge buy, just do it

Most people are familiar with this one. An absolute legend. Buffalo Trace distillery is owned by Sazerac. The Buffalo Trace distillery produces famous whiskey lines like Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, E. H. Taylor, Blanton's, and Weller - among others. Buffalo Trace bourbon the the best whiskey from anywhere in the world for the price. That's a bold statement. I know. π Nothing crazy here. Maybe some traditional dark cherry. Older whiskeys come through smoother on the nose. This one isn't offensive, but it's nothing to write home about either π Caramel, butterscotch, leather, and more. All the classic bourbon flavors to explore in different parts of your mouth. This. Is. Bourbon. π It's so smooth... More of that dark cherry from the nose. Not particularly high proof, but there isn't a better finish at this price. π If you're new here and wondering. Buy a bottle. You won't regret it. I rate my reviews here with the price tag in mind, but I'm going full 4.75 on this one. π If you enjoyed reading this review, I've got hundreds of others here on Distiller. Frank August Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2025π it smells like green. Like, the color π Cherries and leather π Pomegranate seeds Some nice notes there. Is there is such a thing as a bold whiskey, this ain't it. Maybe my palate is burned out, but everything was too... Soft. I'll have to give this one another go124.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed October 8, 2025 (edited January 2, 2026)Some BT bourbon is overrated *cough* Weller 12 *cough* Eagle Rare*, but I think this one is worth it for < $80. If you've never had it and want to splurge on a rare bottle, go for it. π So fkn nice. 10/10. It's like an ice cream cone with the perfect vanilla ice cream in it. It's not overly complex bc it doesn't have to be. Super accessible π Interesting. I got a different taste on the roof of my mouth vs my tongue. Little spicier on the roof. Maybe that was just me. Still tastes considerably lower proof than it is, but somehow still lingers. Much of the same notes as the nose here. Maybe add some blueberries to the ice cream π Still so smooth. There is literally nothing offensive on this whole journey. If this was around for $50, it would be my daily sipper. Hopefully BT ramps up the volume on this one and it becomes easier to find, but it really is a good pour -
π Really smooth. I can bury my nose in there and not get burned out π Just had some A107 and this is slightly more interesting. At 90 proof, this just might be a little more accessible. Pretty sweet π I've gotta say, it's pretty smooth. I'd be pretty angry if a 12 year aged wheated whiskey at 90 proof. TBH, I don't think 12 or A107 are worth the 5x price increase over Weller SR π€·

π a little hot for a wheat whiskey, but I guess at 107 proof, it's reasonable. If you don't bury your nose in the glass, there's some nice notes. Unique. I'm getting grape juice. π Just average wheat whiskey π€· π Pretty nice. A little more going on than on the palate. I'm still getting that grape Kool aid. It is kinda nice

Still Austin The Musician Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed September 21, 2025 (edited November 24, 2025)π WOW that's great. Muffins. Hold on a second. Lemme check what kind. Strawberry. Strawberry muffins π Velvety. Just good quality bourbon. Nothing offensive. Very impressive π Not quite as premium as the nose or palate, but still probably 8/10. Not overpowering. Lingers a little longer. I keep thinking about cotton candy. Always drink whiskey with a glass of water
