Tastes

Vanilla, banana, apricots, rye spice. Simple, but nice for it’s price.

Caramel, butterscotch, creme brulee, lemon peel, sour apple candy, tar, licquorice on the nose. Sherry cask, banana, caramel. Complex and delicious, but slightly sharp. Could use some more ageing.

Apple, dates, milk chocolate, hint of salmiac, some flowery notes, peat and tar. Quite complex, but still nicely easy-going.

Apricot jam, overripe lemon peel, honey, butterscotch, slight cacao nibs. Very good, would maybe benefit from further aging.

Sweet speyside with apricot, raisin, butterscotch, vanilla, nutty. Easy, soft, sweet but tasty for it’s pricepoint.

Caramel, coconut, vanilla. Easy and pleasant on the palate. Nothing special, but nice for the price.

Dusty barley, dark caramel malts, dried fruit, even some ryelike spice, ammonium chloride (salmiac), hazelnut, peat, smoked ham, pipe tobacco, dried fruits on the palate as well. Reminds of cognac. Substantial lenght.

Nice balance between the citrusy and appley brightness, and the richness of dates, vanilla and slight butterscotch. Oily and even sherry-finishlike palate and finish for some reason, even though only matured in ex-bourbon. Special release only for the finnish national alcoholic beverage retailing monopoly - Alko.

Sweet vanilla and toffee, pancake mix, old furniture, dust, wheat bread and cocoa powder on the nose. Palate is defined by round creme brulee and coconut.

Slightly vegetal, floral, barley, apricots, liquorice or even salmiac, peat reveals itself at the palate with floral honey notes and salty minerality.
