Initial nose on opening is dusty corn. If Mike Trout put an old cob of corn on the end of a baseball bat and hit you in the face with it like he’s in Game 7 of the WS with bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th 3-2 count and they throw a 99mph fastball right in the middle of the strike zone, it’s like that. Thankfully after being opened for a while that settles out quite a bit. Taste - dusty corn, light barrel spice, vanilla, and not much else. The depth is lacking for a 14yr. Finish: very slight hug, decent but unremarkable, short. Overall I’d rather buy IW Harper 15 at $30-40 less and feel like I’m getting a much better bourbon at a much better price.

140 proof rye aged 4 years. If Willett made a barrell proof rye, it would be hard pressed to beat this. Shocked at how good it is. It's full of baking spice, slightly sweet, cinnamon rye goodness.

I think this is really good. For being a bourbon it has a Whistlepig 10 flavor to it, not sure of the rye content but it tastes closer to straight rye than a low rye bourbon.

And tonight's bottle opening is... Rowan's Creek! First impression - peanuts. A LOT of peanut flavor, very oily, cherries, cinnamon. A little hotter than its 100 proof ABV. On ice the initial peanut flavor moves to the body and disappears fairly quickly. Very creamy. It's not my favorite but I'd buy another bottle at retail if presented the opportunity.

One of the worst bourbons I've ever had. The novelty of bottling it at the Stillhouse and sticking a little medallion on it doesn't make up for the fact it's just awful. regular Jim Beam is better in every way.

The taste to me is best described as what the the inside of a rickhouse smells like. Earthy, musty, oak and pumpernickel. Spicy, hot, very long finish. Delicious but not sure I'd buy another bottle at the price.

I love everything I've tried from Michter's so far, and this one doesn't disappoint. Very drinkable, especially on the rocks. I prefer the bourbon but I wouldn't turn down a pour of this.
