Tastes

Very good, warm and spicy on the nose. Very smooth and flavorful on the taste. Reminiscent of the 12 but smoother and more enjoyable.

Medicinal and cherry notes are readily available. It comes in sweet and pleasant then moves into some spice in the middle. It feels like its going to get hot but fades in the nick of time to a nice finish fading back into cherry. Very interesting just not the flavor profile I prefer. Second tasting was slightly better with more oak and traditional bourbon notes.

Tobacco is prominent on this one, both on the nose and the taste. Dark oak notes are present as well, very complex and enjoyable. It tastes like an older aged whiskey, reminds me of flavors similar to Joseph Magnus or Dickel 15. The finish moves into spice, tastes hotter than 93 but not overpowering and finish sits nice and lingers for a long time.

Nose of cinnamon, oak, spice, and a hint of vanilla. Taste matches, a lot of interesting spices with cinnamon on the front and I get some very oaky almost BBQ flavored notes. Sweet as well but moves into the spice and a bit of heat, more than Id expect from 100 proof. Medium finish.

Rye on the nose in addition to the standard notes. A little bit of wood, learher and medicinal notes. Taste comes in sweet and medicinal with some cherry at the end. Its good but the flavor profile just isnt my favorite.

Its Blantons turned up to 11. The Blantons nose is there with a little more oak. The taste is more oaky to me but good. It comes in hot… but then not. It feels on the first taste like its about to light your tongue on fire… and then it doesnt but the bold flavor sticks around. Its good, definitely more aggresive than standard and I like it.

Decent scotch, slightly woody taste.

Sweet and fruity, the rum gives it a little more depth but it still has a classic Glenlivet nose and body to me. Decent but perhaps a little on the sweet side.

This was very standard for what I would picture as a bourbon with a rye mash bill. It was sweet, grassy, smooth, oaky and enjoyable. Nothing in particular jumped out or was overly complex but a solid dram.

Nose was complex with a bit of cherry on top of rye and oak notes. The taste had a lot going on, initially spicy, oaky, grassy and rye forward it then moved into a swirl of flavors and heat before settling back into a dark cherry flavor that was slightly medicinal. The cherry hung around for a substantial finish. Its a very unique offering and one im glad I tried.
